Learning Brought to Life
Your Early Learning Event 2021
Learning Brought to Life is for teachers, educators, parent committee volunteers, organisation leaders, and allied professionals who want to turn their passion for early childhood education into action. The event will shine the light of learning on the issues, skills, people, and processes that make our sector stronger. We are for the people who jump in ‘boots and all’ to do their best for every child in their care … every single day, no matter what. Learning Brought to Life is also about progress – we want early childhood education in Australia to be recognised as the best in the world and resourced appropriately.
With local and internationally renowned speakers, Learning Brought to Life is one big day of learning and skills that you can’t miss.
Teachers and Educators
You see the potential in the children in your care and we see yours. We know you’re driven by your passion to set them up for a life where a love of learning can unlock each child’s potential. So, we have designed a full day to nurture you and help you grow, develop and celebrate. You’ll develop further knowledge and skills that you can immediately apply in your workplace. You will also get access to new thinking and tools from innovators in your profession while enjoying a unique opportunity to network with others just like you.
Parent Committee Members
Parents who volunteer to serve on their kindergarten’s Committee of Management are the backbone of not-for-profit early childhood education and care. You’ll need to be an HR manager, accountant, engineer, psychologist, PR guru, events coordinator, fundraiser, and landscape gardener all rolled into one. Come to our two dedicated sessions for Committee of Management volunteers and leave more confident about managing staff and planning for a financial sustainable future for your service.
CEOs / Senior Managers
Early years managers set the benchmark for quality across Victoria. Join us for an exclusive breakfast which provides an ‘over the horizon’ analysis of the macro political, economic, technological and other forces shaping your early childhood service. The breakfast will be followed by a program designed for CEOs and senior managers that links evidence to strategies to drive excellence. There will also be the chance to network with early learning influencers from academia, government and service provision.
The Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) is an independent, not-for-profit, peak membership body providing management advice and support to not-for-profit early childhood education and care services.
Formed in 1991, our vision is ‘Excellence in learning for every child’.
We are passionate about the importance of high-quality, affordable and accessible early childhood education and care. We champion excellence in early learning for children, and support parents and service providers.
Our positive relationships with stakeholders and governments give our members a voice in public debate about early learning. We actively work with our members through the provision of professional and specialist advice, training and resources for committees, management and staff.
ELAA has a membership of around 1200 services across Victoria which:
- employ qualified early childhood professionals to plan educational programs for young children
- provide developmentally appropriate programs based on the recognition and understanding of the needs, interests and abilities of young children
- provide safe environments, both indoors and outdoors, which provide opportunities to develop new skills and practise and enhance those they have already learned.
